Just got back from my weekend at home ( Cape Town )and it was so cool to see everyone again!

Arrived on Friday afternoon and was whisked away to the Brauhaus for a solid German supper and a pint of the dark stuff with Mom and Dad and the baby, then off home trying hard not to say anything about Dave being on his way!

Spent most of the weekend alternating between sleeping and eating (bless my mom), particularly good chinese/sushi buffet for lunch on Sunday, and had a really good time living up to the label bestowed on me by Kate (see: queen, gossip) on Sunday evening over sundowners with Beth at Summerville. Was lots of fun hearing all the stories and chuckling over the key thing!

Kristy wasn’t feeling too well, so she didn’t come out with us, but I popped in to say hi on the way home. It was just really good to see you guys again, hopefully it will be happening a lot more often in the not-to-distant future. For those who know, I’ll know by the end of the week. For those that don’t, who where we talking about again?

Was at uni this morning for 11sies and chatted to Irfaan (and got bat from Beth ) + good old glass house coffee!!

Was sad to leave, don’t enjoy making my mom cry, but at least I only had a 2 hour flight instead of a 18 hour drive ahead of me! Just sucks that I got a ‘middle’ seat, it’s one armrest each guys!!!

Anywho, back at the lodge safe and sound and going to spend tomorrow being generally lazy and doing as little as possible, won’t be in the office much this week, and then off to Jo’burg this weekend for my cousins wedding, Bry’s birthday, and a substation design course that runs from Monday to Friday that will come in pretty handy with the projects that are coming up…

Well, that’s about it from me, looking forward to seeing some of you this weekend and a trip to the (in)famous chinese whore house!

Those of you coming home in the next few days/weeks (if you have to ask it’s not you), travel safely and enjoy your last few days abroad. If I don’t post or email before you get back let me be the first to say WELCOME HOME!

PS. Goon, if you still keen to quit real life and go back to uni give of a shout, have a rubber arm that could be twisted.

PPS. Too many people I know are getting engaged, JUST SAY NO people!

PPPS. Beth, had such a good time! Sunday night sundowners should definitely become a habit.

PPPPS. Mo, shot for the beer on Saturday, was lekker to chat and good luck with your work guy!
